| Gupta appointed Public prosecutor for Udhampur distt | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Nov 24:Government has appointed Navneet Gupta, an advocate of the Udhampur Bar, as the Standing government counsel for Udhampur district. A notification in this regard was issued yesterday.
According to the order issued by Law department, Gupta has been appointed as Public prosecutor for conducting the state government litigation and the cases filled against public officers while in the service of the State government before the district courts, consumer forum and tribunals at Udhampur .
The name of Navneet Gupta was recommended by Deputy Commissioner and Udhampur Bar Association as the Public prosecutor’s post in district was lying vacant for the last six months due to which Litigants, bar and court’s work was suffering badly.
Gupta, who was earlier practicing as an advocate in Udhampur district, will have tenure of one year initially in his new assignment.
