UDHAMPUR, Nov 24: State coalition government’s decision to rehabilitate the militants who had gone to Pakistan and Pak occupied Kashmir (PoK) for arms training and wage a war against the unity and integrity of the nation has drawn strong criticism in Udhampur.
Ex Public Prosecutor Advocate Govind Ram Khajuria strongly condemning the surrender policy said that the rehabilitation policy is completely favoring the militants who had committed crime against the humanity. Also the surrendered militants have committed unaccountable killings of civilians and troops, he added.
Vikram Slathia of Lok Vikas Dal NGO said DGP police Kuldeep Khoda during interaction with media has admitted that there are still 500 militants in the state. This means that the number of militants operating in the state has not been reduced and with the implementation of rehabilitation policy it will increase militancy related incidents despite the various safe-guards attached to the rehabilitation policy", he argued. He said this way more and more people will wage a war against the nation to seek the Government job and other facilities. He also made an appeal to State Governor urging him to impose the Governor’s rule in the State
Sunny Gupta BJYM said that With this act the government has demonstrated its total lack of empathy for the suffering of unemployed youth of the state and its heart is bleeding for terrorists who had waged a war against the security forces and civilians.
Anil Paba a local social worker said that due to apathy attitude of state government lakhs of people who have been migrated from Pakistan during 1947 have not till date been given full citizenship rights but on the other hand government is taking decision to rehabilitate anti-nationalists, who had waged war against state and country is quite amazing decision.
