| Mega horticulture awareness camp organised | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
UDHAMPUR, Nov 24: Horticulture Department, Udhampur organized a mega awareness camp under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) at Panchayat Ghar, Garhi here today.
MLA Udhampur Balwant Singh Mankotia who was the chief guest on the occasion, inaugurated the camp and distributed cheques amounting to Rs 4.35 lakh among 62 beneficiaries under Horticulture Technology Mission (HTM) and district plan.
Lauding the efforts of Horticulture Department for holding this awareness camp at Garhi said that such awareness camp would certainly raise the socio- economic conditions of the rural people. MLA called for holding such more awareness camps for the benefit of the farmers in others area also. He also advised the youth to adopt the latest techniques of horticulture as the area has vast potential.
Mankotia called upon the farmers to come forward and take maximum benefits of the schemes especially designed to raise their economic standard by adopting latest technique of horticultural practices.
