| SAY 4 SEWA organizes blood donation camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 24: SAY 4 SEWA organized a Voluntary blood donation camp at Acharya Shri chander College of Medical Sciences and Hospital (ASCOMS & Hospital), Sidhra here today
As many as 50 volunteers donated their blood during the day long camp.
Dr Kumkum Sharma (Professor and Head Blood Bank) welcomed the guests and appreciated the donors for donating their blood for needy patients whom they have never met. She told that any healthy donor between 18-60 years, body weight more than 100lbs, Hemoglobin greater than 12gm% can donate blood 4 times a year. Prior to blood donation, a medical examination was conducted, and only medically fit donors were allowed to donate the blood.
The event started with the voluntary donations by the members of SAY 4 SEWA and then was continued by the general masses.
Donors by their blood donation passed their message to the general masses that Blood is that fragile scarlet tree we carry within us so we must not feel hesitated in donating blood as it gets replenished very soon.
Dr. Navneet Gupta (President SAY 4 SEWA) along with Dr Gaurav Mukhija(General Secretary), Dr Ankush Sadotra and Dr Minal Uppal addressed about the activities and the further plans of MEDICAL CAMP by SAY 4 SEWA.
Dr Bhavna (Lecturer), Dr Poonam (Senior Resident), Dr Ankur Gupta, Dr Prachi Dubey, Dr Manvi and para-medical staff of blood bank assisted in camp conduction.
