| CCI seeks clarification | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu Nov 24: Chamber of Commerce & Industry has sought a clarification from Commissioner Commercial Taxes that whether the date for getting the Accounts audited also stands extended by notification no. 4 of 2010 dated 12-10-2010 or only the date for filing of audit reports is extended upto 30th November 2010.
Satish Gupta, Secretary General Chamber of Commerce & Industry expressed its thanks to The Commissioner Commercial Taxes for issuing circular no. CCT/Vat/Audit/538-43 dated 22 November 2010 which explicitly states that the notification no. 04 of 2010 dated 12-10-2010 has been issued under section 60 of J&K Vat Act 2005, which implies the Accounting year 2009-10 is applicable both for getting the accounts audited as well as submission of audit reports.
