The MCA course is standardized and is representing 30 courses, five practical courses and one real life project be undertaken by the VIth Semester students in the reputed industries/institutions.
But mismanagement looms large in the functioning of the department. This is particularly true in case of students of MCA batch 2007-10.

One of the students of the department preferring anonymity said that without declaration of the results of results of the final semester their degree was incomplete. These days many of the government departments have advertised notifications for the post of the computer experts. They could not even apply in response of the advertisements just because of official apathy.
He also said that the students of the department even contacted concerned authorities for an early declaration of the results but nothing has been done in this regard.
Head of Department (HOD) Prof Devanand said that some students have not submitted their report. Due to which there is delay in taking the viva of the students. He further as soon as the department received report from students they would announce the date of viva.
He also said that the last date for the submission of report is November 29.
