| Principal Sessions Judge Jammu visits jails | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, November: 25 (JNF):- Principal Sessions Judge Jammu AK Shan who was also Chairman District Legal Service Authority today visted Central Jail Kot-Bhalwal and District Jail Ambphalla for holding legal literacy classes. This exercise was under taken on the direction of Executive Chairman State Legal Service Authority Justice Virender Singh.
The Chairman District Legal Service Authority Mr. AK Shan discussed the benefits arising out of plea bargaining with prisoners and also apprised them of other legal rights available to the prisoners under various law and schemes under legal Service Act. Large numbers of prisoners and para legal volunteers of the concerned jail participated in the function. The Chairman exhorted the prisoners to avail benefits arising under different laws and schemes sponsored National Legal Service Authority and State Legal Service Authority. JNF
