Chib inaugurates ITI building at Nowshera | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Nov 25: Minister for Medical and Technical Education, R.S. Chib today inaugurated an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) building at Nowshera in Rajouri district. The building has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 4.75 crore, including Rs.2.25 crore modern equipments. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that Government is determined to impart technical education to the educated youth so that they are able to earn their livelihood. He further said that the State Government has proposed opening of 53 new ITIs and 142 Skill Development Centres in the State and stressed that the youth should avail benefits of courses running in these institutions to open vistas of employment for them. He also hailed the Prime Minister of India for announcing opening of more ITIs to cover the maximum areas upto 2022. Chib also laid foundation of a Mini stadium at Nowshehra which will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.68 crore of which Rs. 1 crore will be donated by Army under Sadhbhawana. He stressed the younger generation for taking interest in games for making they fit physically and mentally. He lauded the performance of State Sportsmen in Asian Games and disclosed that the Union Government is, mulling to develop stadia at village level upto 2022 for the promotion of sports. Chib said that for promotion of sports activities in rural area, the Union Government is mulling to develop Stadia in all the villages of the country upto 2022. Various deputations and individuals called on the Minister and apprised him about their problems.
