Clear stand on CM’s utterances, surrender policy: BJP to Cong | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 25: The Congress ministers and MLAs from Jammu should clear their stand on the issues like utterances of the Chief Minister on accession, surrender policy and discrimination with Jammu and Ladakh. This was stated here today by BJP State General Secretary Sat Sharma while expressing grave concern over stoic silence of the elected representatives of the Congress from Jammu. Sat Sharma said that there has been wide spread resentment among the nationalist people not only in the state but through out the country over the utterances of State Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on the finality of accession of Jammu and Kashmir with the Indian union. He said even after passing one and half month, the Jammu based Congress representatives have not come out with a word of opposition, which shows that they fully endorse what the chief minister has said. Sharma also criticized the Congress cabinet ministers in particular, for giving their nod and becoming a party to the cabinet decision of rehabilitating the militants who are now in Pakistan and PoK and want to return to the state. He said while this decision has been overwhelmingly opposed by all sections of the society, Congress ministers for the sake of power have either kept mum or appreciated instead of opposing it. Meanwhile, series of meetings of party activist in different parts of the city continued on Thursday also in view of the party’s scheduled Jammu Bandh—Chakka Jam programme. Besides party senior leaders and MLAs, Distt. Jammu President Rajesh Gupta and BJYM State President Munish Sharma chaired a number of meetings throughout the day to take stock of the preparations made so far to ensure peaceful but complete bandh. Rajesh Gupta and Munish Sharma said that the issues against which the BJP has given three hours bandh call are related to every Jammuites, be it a transporter, trader, shopkeeper, industrialist or people engaged in travel and tourism Industry, hence, it is imperative on part of everyone to cooperate and extend full support to the cause.
