Tribal students demand release of scholarship
11/25/2010 8:45:05 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 25: Tribal Student’s Front alleged that the directorate of Tribal affairs has failed to give scholarship to the students of last session.
Addressing media persons here today, State senior vice president Javed Choudhary said that the poor students suffer a lot due to non availability of scholarship because they have no other source of money to submit their admission fee in different educational institutions. Unfortunately, the state government did not give any attention towards the plight of tribal students and always talk about development but it should remember that without the educational development of the tribes the dreams of attaining progress will remain only dreams. He demanded that strict action should be taken against the tribal affairs director who has failed to address and solve the student’s scholarship issue. He further said that if state government fails to fulfill tribal students’ pending demands, the forum will launch a state wide agitation.
