Karvan-e-Aman bus service resumes, 6 POK guests arrive | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Nov 25: Six fresh guests arrived here from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) while eleven from here crossed over to other side of the Line of Control (LoC) as the Karvan-e-Aman bus service resumed today after it was postponed Thursday last in view of the Eid-ul-Azha. Official sources said here this afternoon that six POK guests, including two women and two children, arrived at Kaman post, the last Indian military post on LoC in Uri sector after crossing the Aman Setu bridge on foot. They said nine residents of the Kashmir valley, who had gone to POK also returned to their homes after staying with their relatives there. They included two women and two children. Sources said eleven Kashmiris crossed over to POK in the bus to meet their relatives there. They included four women also. Seventeen residents of POK, who were here also returned to their homes after completing their stay in Kashmir. The bus on November 19 was postponed in view of the Eid festival after both the sides agreed. The service was started on April 7, 2005 when Prime Minister Manmohan Singh flagged off the first service in presence of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and then Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayed.
