People for early Panchayat elections: JKPP

Jammu, Nov 25: No more promises. The government must hold Panchayat elections early and also implement 73rd constitution amendments Acts and Grams Nayalya Act.
These were the views expressed by the people of Lohai, Malhar, Katli, Phinter, Nagtota Guroo and Dayala Chak in district Kathua during the awareness camps organised by Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Parishad (JKPP).
Jugal Kishore Gupta, president of JKPP, highlighted the need and role of 3 tiers Panchayat Raj in the growth and development of rural areas.
Addressing the meeting of office bearers of Block Committees of the district, Gupta asked them to speed up the awareness campaign and motivate the educated youth to come forward for this noble cause the contest the Panachayat elections.
Rajiv Duatta- Publicity Secretary, Noor, Mohd. Afzal – vice President District Kathua and Joginder Singh- Block President JKPP also participated and expressed their views in the awareness camps. At Malhar, the Block committee was formed with. Hussain and Sadiq as President and vice- president respectively.
