| Safai Karamchari Union submit charter of demands | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 25: A meeting of the Safai Karamchari Union, Municipal Corporation, Jammu was today convened under the chairmanship of President of the municipal employees defection Anil Kashap to discuss the problems of the Safai Karamcharies.
It was resolved that various demands of the safai karamcharies have remained unattended to by the authorities of JMC and as such the Safai Karmacharies have been suffering a lot.
Later, a deputation to the union met the commissioner and submitted a charter of demands which included formation of a committee of both unions for the collection of welfare Fund, festival advance be raised form present 1000 to 3000 and paid before Christmas, a colony for the families of the Safai Karamcharies be raised at a feasible site, the time-bound due fr0m 2006 be released and paid.
Among others present in the meeting included Vijay Chandail, George Burett, Burett, Surender Bhatti, Jagdish Kour, Jernail, Kokar, Ajit Gill, Shahzadi Gill, Snju Buret and others.
