JHRBA seeks cross border, pilgrim tourism

Jammu, Nov 26: Calling for a boost to the economy and generation of employment in Jammu region, Jammu Hotel Restaurant and Bar Association (JHRBA) on Friday asked the central government to take steps to promote cross-border, pilgrimage tourism in the region.
"We met C Rangarajan, Chairman of the expert panel formed by the Prime Minister to formulate employment plan on Jammu and Kashmir. We highlighted that the steps need to be taken to promote tourism and cross-border pilgrimage in Jammu region", President, JHRBA, H S Anand told reporters here.
"We pointed to the panel that there should be Promotion of border tourism at Suchet Garh on the line of Wagah Border and shrine of Baba Chamliyal in Ramgarh, he said.
JHRBA also called for boosting the economy of the region and generating employment by undertaking measures to promote border, pilgrimage tourism in the region.
