HC directs DHS to forward application forms | Appointment of Registrars | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, November: 26 (JNF):- In a petition filed by Dr. Joyti Sakral and other doctors who had applied for the tenure post of Registrar/Demonstrators in various disciplines, their application forms according to the petitioner are still lying in the office of Director Health Services. The same were required to be forward to Principal GMC Jammu by or before November 22, 2010, but have not been forward on the pretext that petitioner as yet have not completed the period of probation, when requirement of the rules that the candidates must have worked as Assistant Surgeon for one year or equivalent one year service as House Officer. Justice Mohd Yaqoob Mir of J&K High Court Jammu Wing after hearing Advocate Abhinav Sharma for the petitioners issued notice to State of J&K through Commissioner/ Secretary Health & Medical Education, Principal Govt Medical College Jammu and Director Health Services Jammu returnable within four weeks. Court observed that the documents have been placed on record support the contention of the petitioners in case interim protection is not granted, the petitioners will be deprived of the competition and resultantly will adversely effect their future prospects and directed the Director Health Services Jammu that he shall forthwith forward the application forms of the petitioners to Principal Govt Medical College Jammu who after proper scrutiny shall allow the petitioners to participate in the process of selection. Court however, clarified that their result shall abide the further direction from this Court. JNF
