Cane charges on PDD employees condemned

Jammu, Nov 26: All Jammu and Kashmir Electric Department Linemen and Workers Union, president
expressed grave concern over the cane charging and torture done to the agitating Daily Wagers who were beaten seriously by the Police personnel .
As per press statement, he said that many of the employees are under treatment in the hospital. Bhat further said that these Daily wagers were agitating for a genuine cause i.e for their regularization on the posts to make their services secure, which is the basic and constitutional right of an employee.
He appealed the Chief Minister to instruct Police authorities not to resort to torture and beatings and also appealed for negotiating the issue on table.
Meanwhile
All J&K Daily Wagers Union Kashmir wing strongly condemn the brutal treatment given to the demonstrators and urge the Governmnet particularly Chief Minister to intervene & redress our problems immediately. (Regularization of Daily Wagers)
They also extended full support to the Jammu Unit in their struggle for soloing genuine demands.
