| Case registered against Sabina | | Kashmir sex racket | | Chandigarh, Nov 4 Sabina, an alleged kingpin in the Kashmir sex racket case, was today booked by police for allegedly trying to snatch a video-camera of a journalist and using abusive language against mediapersons outside the District Court premises here. A case has been registered under various section of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Sabina, Station House Officer of the Sector 17 police station Jagbir Singh said. When Sabina was brought to the District Court for hearing in the case along with some other accused, she allegedly tried to pounce on a cameraman of an electronic media and used abusive language immediately after alighting from the jail bus. Sabina had also reacted in a similar fashion yesterday and allegeldy used abusive language against the camera crew waiting outside the court premises. Meanwhile, District and Sessions Judge B S Mehndiratta, which is hearing the case, had directed mediapersons not to be present in the court only for today when the proceedings were going on. The reason for this was not known. Later, Moulvi Ajaz Ahmed, the counsel of the two accused in the case-- businessman Mehrajuddin Malik and a cop Mohammed Ashraf Mir--later told reporters that the Court had asked him to supply his agruments in writing with regard to Mehrajuddin and give an advance copy of this to CBI by November 15. |
