11/26/2010 10:17:14 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 26: Jammu Kashmir Physiotherapists Association continued its dharna for the 4th consecutive day today. Physiotherapists are holding day and night protest at Divisional Commissioner’s Office, Mubarak Mandi.
It is very strange that no representative from government has till date even visited the dharna site. This is height of irresponsibility shown by State government which climas to be pro-people or democratic government.

This clearly shows that Government has nothing to do with the people and they are only enjoying their perks and privileges, alleged protesting physiotherapists

Health Minister said “We don’t have money to pay for physiotherapists.” This is injustice not only with physiotherapists but also with the 40 lakh population of the state who need services of physiotherapy for their better and healthy non-drug induced life. Couple of days ago Union Minister Gulam Nabi Azad has announced that Government will open medical schools at District Levels, but ask him what will you do after educating them as you have no policy for their employment and utilization in health care, for the people of country.

We demand the Government to make a compressive policy of our employment otherwise the movement will be more dangerous and more aggressive in the coming days as an outcome of irresponsible Words for Hon’ble Minister Mr. Sham Lal increasing anger in the mass & Government is responsible for this outbreak of anger developing in protesting Physiotherapist, the protesters added

Jammu Kashmir Physiotherapist Association (JKPA) announced that Saturday will be observed as Black Day and all the physiotherapists will go on pen down strike.
