JAMMU, Nov 26: The 51st Subroto Mukerjee Football Championship hosted by the Indian Air force Sports Academy, New Delhi, held at Dr Ambedkar Stadium, New Delhi, from November 13 to 24,.
Around 32 teams from India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal participated in this prestigious tournament.
In the Under 14 Years age group, KC Public School Football team represented the State of Jammu and Kashmir in Group 'H' with Bangladesh, Sainik School Manipur and Army School, Nagaland in the fray.
Two students of KC Public School, namely, Manoj Nath and Varun Naidu, have been selected for the SAI Football Academy on the basis of their outstanding performance in the tournament.
The KC Football Team consisted of Dhananjay Chib (Captain), Abhay Kakkar, Aditya Jamwal, Karan Thakur, Suraj Nath, Sanat Abrol, Tushar Koul, Tarun Tickoo, Ishan Raina, Ayush Pandoh, Kamil Sharma, B. Varun Naidu, Manoj Nath, Dalden and Sikinder Khan.
