Udhampur Bar suspend work in protest against Govt decision to rehabilitate militants | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Udhampur Nov 26: Bar Association Udhampur today suspended work here in protest against the Jammu & Kashmir government decision to rehabilitate the militants who had gone to Pakistan and Pak Occupied Kashmir (PoK) for arms training and wage a war against the unity and integrity of the nation. Strike call was given in support of call given by Bar Association of Jammu earlier . Work remained suspended in all the courts on the call against the decision of government. Condemning the decision Bar president Suriender Khajuria and secy Ashoutosh Gupta said that the J&K government’s decision to rehabilitate the militants who had gone to Pakistan and Pak Occupied Kashmir (PoK) for arms training and wage a war against the unity and integrity of the nation is demoralizing for the nationalist forces in the state .. They added that with this act the government has demonstrated its total lack of empathy for the suffering of unemployed youth of the state and its heart is bleeding for terrorists who had waged a war against the security forces and civilians. Advocate Rahul Jandial said the decision will be a threat to the national security as the surrendered militants can act as spies for enemy and rehabilitation policy will increase militancy related incidents despite the various safe-guards attached to the rehabilitation policy, he argued.
