| Entertain application for exemption from screening test: HC to PSC | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov: 27 (JNF):- In a petition filed by Roopali Puri seeking exemption from appearing in screening test for the post of Assistant Legal Remembrances/ Public Law Officer-II, the application of petitioner has not been entertained on the pretext that she has obtained LLM degree through Distance Mode from Kurukshetra University, when as per notification those who have obtained degrees through Distance Mode are not to be entertained except in case the same have been obtained from IGNOU/DOEACC Jammu University/ Kashmir University seeking quashment of this notification as illegal.
Justice Mohd Yaqoob Mir of J&K High Court Jammu Wing after hearing Advocate DS Thakur appearing for the petitioner issued notice to respondents returnable within three weeks and directed the respondents to entertain the application for exemption from screening test of the petitioner not withstanding the condition incorporated in note IV and shall be considered on its own merit for selection. However, result of final process shall be subject to further orders from this Court.
