National Club wins in Jr Division Football | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nov 27: National Club trounced Moonlight Club by a solitary goal to brighten their chances of qualifying for the super league round in the ongoing Junior Division Football League Tournament at Mini Stadium Parade here today. The only goal of the match was scored by Sanjay Kumar in the 10th minute with confused goal-keeper, Jasmeet Singh virtually failed to understand what was going in the goal area. However, the match could not be completed after Moonlight left the ground in protest just a minute before the stipulated time of 70 minutes. In fact, the centre referee, Harneet Singh punished the goal-keeper, Jasmeet for argument over a decision. Unhappy with the referee’s action, the whole Moonlight team left the ground in protest. “Since it was just one-minute game remaining when protest took place, we awarded the match to National Club as the team was already one goal up,” member of the organising committee, Yusuf Don told . In another scheduled match of the day, Sainik Colony Club got walkover Blue Diamond Club. Meanwhile, the Jammu wing of the JKFA has decided to hold Division-C matches for under-16 boys at Mini Stadium Parade tomorrow.
