| Kissan Movement staged protest | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Nov 27:A protest was staged by the farmers of village Jakhole under the banner of Kisaan Movement( Wing of Nature-Mankind Friendly Global Movement) against the state and union government for adopting anti farmers policies.
A meeting of the Kisaan movement was conducted before the protest in which District convener of Kisaan Movement Hurmat Singh discussed various crucial problems being faced by the farmers which includes delay in getting seed and fertilizers, delay in regularization of the R-E-Z agriculture technocrats and the non-functioning of district administration.
Gian Singh said that the Kisaan Movement has the worldwide agenda over the agriculture sector as government has failed to uplift the agriculture sector which has given rise to depression and frustration among farmers.
The Kisaan movement also demanded to provide seed and fertilizers timely to the farmers, to provide the managerial subsidy to the Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd. Bakhata, to establish procurement centers, to regularize the R-E-Z agriculture technocrats, to develop agriculture sector of the state, failing which they have threatened to launch state wide movement against the ill attitude and anti farmer’s policies of the government.
