| Dhar new HESK’s chief | | | EARLY T IMES REPORT
JAMMU Nov27: Anil Dhar has been elected unopposed as president, Hindu Education Authority HESK here today.
Dhar succeeds. A.K. Dewan who held this post since 2001. The HESK has been headed in the past by the prominent personalities including Lt. Pandit Shiv Narayan Fotedar (The Chairman Legislative Council), Lt. Justice Jia Lal Kilam and Maj. Gen. B.N. Dhar, (Retired). Besides, Veterans of the Community, namely Lt.Pandit Bala Kak Dhar and others, have remained associated with this Society. The HESK is a registered educational Society working for promotion and development of the education in the State of Jammu& Kashmir, since 1943.
Presently, the Society is running Gandhi Memorial College at Srinagar and Gandhi Memorial College of Education at Jammu, besides other educational programmes under IGNOU, NIOS, ETTC etc.
