| Janata Party dedicate Ambulance service to people | | | Jammu / July 27, 2006
State unit of Janata Party celebrated the birthday of its National Working President and Member Parliament (RS) Dr. Vijay Mallya. To celebrate the occasion party started free ambulance service for poor and needy persons. Party’s State President Som Nath Dabgotra inaugurated this service and dedicated it to the people at Gandhi Nagar here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Dabgotra said that it was on this day in the year 2003 that Dr. Vijay Mallya had a narrow escape in a helicopter crash. It was like rebirth for him and since then party workers are celebrating this day as his second birthday throughout the country. He also said that there shall be week long celebrations in connection with Dr. Mallaya’s birthday and during this week blood donation camp, medical camp shall be organized.
Dabgotra informed that Mohd Sadiq Poswal (State Secretry), Mangat Ram Sharma (President Youth Wing, South) have contributed majority of funds for the ambulance.
