Bodh Raj Bali’s nephew joins PDP

Jammu, Nov 28: Impressed by the programmes and policies being propagated by the party, eminent social activist Kunwar Bali along with his supporters today joined Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the presence of party general secretary Thakur Balbir Singh and district president of Jammu urban R K Bali.
Kunwar Bali is nephew of National Conference stalwart and former Minister Bodh Raj Bali.
Welcoming Kunwar in the party, Thakur Balbir Singh said that PDP has been propagating pro-people policies and it was result of the programmes of the party that large number of people are coming forward to join this party.
He said that since its formation PDP has been pursing pro-peace agenda which has been endorsed by the people of the State and it was evident from growing popularity of the party in all regions of the State.
Exhorting Bali and his supporters to spread message of PDP in their respective areas, Thakur Balbir Singh said that being main opposition party of the State PDP would not allow the National Conference led coalition government to continue its anti-people policies.
PDP general secretary regretted that since formation of NC coalition regime in the State miseries of the people have been increasing because ruling party has done nothing to solve basic problems of the people.
He especially mentioned that all promises made by the NC with the people during last assembly elections remained only on papers.
Speaking on the occasion, Kunwar Bali said that he decided to join PDP due to the pro-people policies and progammes of the party.
He said that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has set an example of good governance in the State during his three years tenure as Chief Minister.
He said that it was only during the regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed that equal treatment was given to all regions and sub-regions. He expressed full faith in the leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Mehbooba Mufti and assured the party leadership that he would work hard to strengthen the party.
Prominent other leaders who joined PDP included Manav Kohli, Kundan Lal Suri, Subash Dutta and Kapil.
