| PDD daily wagers, PPEU list demands | | | EARLY TIMES REP0RT
JAMMU Nov 28: All J&K PDD Daily Wagers Union and Provincial Power Employees Union (PPEU) today jointly called on Commissioner/Secretary to Power Development Department,.8asharat Ahmad Dhar, at his office chambers at Civil Secretariat .
The leaders of the Unions namely Tarun Gupta, Kuibir Singh, Kulbhushan Singh, Balvinder Singh, Deepak , Deep Mehra, Sanjeev Bali. Aijaz Kazmi of P.P.E.U. participated.
The leaders of the Unions put forth their long pending demands for regularization of daily wagers who have completed seven years service in the Power Development Department. Basharat gave patient hearing to the deputationists and gave assurance that their demand shall be solved very shortly. He, however, appealed to the Union leaders not to observe strike tomorrow in view of the cal! given by the ProvisionalPower Employees Union.
The PPEU was represented by its Chairman .Shakti Gupta and the State President of All J&K Daily Wagers Union, Tarun Gupta. The leaders of the Union expressed satisfaction over the assurance given by Commissioner/Secretary P DD and both the Unions decided to defer the proposed strike.
