| Peerzada inspects various examination centers | | | Srinagar Nov 4 : The Minister for Education, Hajj and Auqaf, Pirzada Mohamad Syed, today, inspected various examination centers inlcuding and Girls Hr. Secondary School. Kothibagh and SP. School, Srinagar. Director School Education was accompanied to the minister. The minister was informed that adequate arrangements have been made to check the copying and assured that nobody would be allowed to nourish this menace. The minister expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by the Board authorities for conducting the examination smoothly. Earlier, the minister inaugurated a new center of KIDZEE School a branch of Zee Network in Srinagar. Speaking at a function organized in this connection at B. Ed College, Srinagar, the minister said that education is primary requirement of development. He said Government is committed to provide better educational facilities to the students in order to increase the literacy rate in the State. Peerzada said that 22 new degree colleges have been opened and score of high and middle schools have been upgraded. He said the literary rate in our state is very low compare to other southern states like Kerela. The minister said that opening of Islamic University and Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, constructed by Waqaf Board, is an effort towards the missions to keep available educational facilities to the students even living in far of areas of the State. |
