| People protest against Rajouri SSP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 28: People today protested against SSP, Rajouri, in the town and burnt his effigy for alleged police failure to catch hold of the miscreants who last evening attacked RSS office there and beat up some youth.
Police sources said some youth were last evening doing their routine meeting in the RSS office when some miscreants appeared on the scene and beat them up.
However, before they could make their escape good, some RSS supporters reached there and chased them away. A report in this regard was later lodged by RSS workers with Rajouri police station.
The workers, however, alleged that instead of laying hands on the attackers, police late last night raided their office and ransacked it.
In protest against the alleged police raid on the RSS office, people today held an anti-police deomnstration and burnt the effigy of SSP, Rajouri. They also demanded immediate arrest of those who had attacked the RSS office. |
