| Zargar nominated to ECMCI | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Nov 29: The Board of Governors, Medical Council of India has constituted an Equivalence Committee – a high-powered committee to evaluate the value of different degrees by medical universities of different countries for grant of recognition by Government of India and Medical Council of India.
In this regard Abdul Hamid Zargar, Director SKIMS, has been nominated to be a member of this committee. Various academicians of repute who have contributed in the field of medical practice, education and research have been appointed to this committee.
Medical Council of India regulates the quality of medical education, determines the suitability of recognition of various degrees awarded by various international/national medical schools and determines the qualification of medical teachers in the country.
