| IGNOU term-end examinations to start December 1 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Nov 29: The term end examination for December, 2010 of Indira Gandhi National Open University is going to commence from 1st December, 2010 and will conclude on 30th December, 2010.
The University has established 824 examination centres including 51 overseas centres, 35 centres in jail for jail inmates and 60 centres at PIs for convergence students.
Hall Ticket (Examination Intimation Slips) have been issued to 358615 eligible students who had applied for appearing in the Term End Examination. The detailed hall ticket status is also available on IGNOU websitewww.ignou.ac.in.
In Jammu Region, in addition to the Jail Centres in District Jail Udhampur, District Jail Jammu and Central Jail Kot Bhalwal, Examination Centres have also been established in Gool, Bhalessa, Doda, Kishtwar, Poonch, Rajouri, Phinter, Billawar, Sunderbani, Udhampur, Samba, Kathua and in Jammu City which include the Examination Centres in different partner institutes under the convergence scheme as well.
The students may also download the Hall Tickets from the University website and appear in the examination.
The Examination Centres have been instructed to allow students to appear in examination, even if they do not possess the Hall Ticket (Examination Intimation Slips), but their names exist in the list of examinees for that centre.
Students are advised to be in possession of the Identity Card issued by the University during the Examination and they should not carry mobile phone with them inside the Examination Hall.
Separate Hall tickets shall be issued to the students of BCA & MCA for Term End practicals.
Students are advised to contact the respective Regional Centres in the last week of December for their practical examinations.
For BLISc. (Library Science) all theory examination centres are not activated for conduct of practical examination. Students are advised to contact the centre superintendent and see the notice board for practical examination centre.
