MV International School ranks No 1 at state Matsogi-Do championship

Jammu, Nov 29: MV International school held the incredible opportunity to host 9th State Matsogi-Do –Championship 2010.
The Championship is organized by Matsogi-Do association of J&K in collaboration with MV International School, 17 Mile, Vijaypur, Samba
The School management, staff, and students council cordially welcomed the chief guest Lal Singh Member of Parliament for closing ceremony in the school campus. The event was also graced by eminent dignitaries J.L. Sharma SSP Samba, as guest of honour,
Taranjit Singh (Tony) president Matsogi – DO association of J&K and vice chair person Savita Abrol.
-A rendezvous of this mega-event in which 22 schools with their more than 600 participants from different districts of J&K state mainly from distt. Kathua, Samba, Doda Jammu, Udhampur & Srinagar, with their contingent in-charges were present to announce a new era in the Matsogi-Do-Championship in the history of Samba distt at (MVIS) for the promotion of the cause of the sports.
Two action packed days were witnessed. Sheer hard work, grit and sportsmanship was seen with MV International School that emerges out as the overall champion of the championship of the 9th State Matsogi-DO 2010.Over all MV International School was ranked at 1st position, Army School Kaluchack was placed 2nd in this tournament whereas Jodhamal Public School bagged 3rd position.
The chairman of the school H.L. Abrol blessed the players with his radiant ideas and laid stressed that determination and perseverance must be observed if one wants to reach the
zenith. Earlier the director of the school Gourav Abrol in his welcome speech said that sports and academics are complimentary and play an instrumental role in carving responsible and true nationals out of young children.
- The chief guest in his inspiring speech congratulated the school management for holding such lucrative opportunity for the young aspirants to ensure that good sportsman-ship translates into good citizenship through this Matsogi-Do Championship. The Chief guest also stressed that a strong discipline is enhanced to show ways for young children through such training for body and mind.
