11/29/2010 9:57:11 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU Nov 29: Sangarsh, a movement for justice, equality, peace, prosperity and brotherhood, today urged upon the panel of interlocutors to be balanced in their approach with respect to the voice and aspirations of all the regions of Jammu and Kashmir state.
Addressing the press conference, its general secretary-cum-spokesperson Suresh Kumar on behalf of the movement appealed to the team of interlocutors led by Dileep Padgaonkar to visit twin border district of Jammu province Rajouri-Poonch .
He claimed that both these districts have tolerated and shielded all the wars and militant activities since 1947. He alleged that these districts, having a potential of tourism and scenic beauty, is being neglected and being discriminated by the state government by the successive governments both centre and state, despite the fact that the people of Rajouri-Poonch who always show their nationalistic zeal from time to time never supported the anti-national activities .
Sangarshi Suresh further said that all activities of interlocutors shall be futile and useless if they do not visit twin border districts Rajouri-Poonch and take into consideration the numerous problems faced by the stern nationalist people of Rajouri- Poonch. As the area having enormous resources of minerals and tourism, if developed, can generate avenues for self-employment and make the state economically self reliant, he added.
Prominent among others who were present include Nitin Sharma(Vice-President), Anju Sharma (Joint Secretary) Abhinav Sharma, Atchyut Dubey, Ajit Verma, Sundani Sharma and Shafiq Lone.
