| Court rejects bail of accused involved in duping jewelers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov: 30 (JNF):- Excise Magistrate, Jammu, Jatinder Singh Jamwal today rejected the bail application of Parvir Kakrar s/o Kali Pada Kakrar r/o West Bengal who was arrested by the police in a case u/s 408 of RPC.
Rejecting the bail application, the Court after hearing both sides observed that perusal of the record, including the case dairy it suffices that as per the case of the prosecution, the applicant/accused and two other have duped a large number of jewelers and gold smiths of Jammu valuing lacs of rupees with whom they were working as artisans for manufacturing/repairing of ornaments since long. So far only a part of property has been recovered and large portion of the same is still to be recovered. Further only one of the accused has been arrested so far, although the applicant/accused has been already remanded to judicial custody, yet in order to give the police a fair chance of investigation the case to hilt and thereby unearthing the entire design and the conspiracy behind the offence.
With these observations, Court rejected the bail application.
