| Youth jumps into Tawi, critical | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Nov 30: A youth today tried to end his life by jumping into Tawi river from the bridge at Bikram Chowk here as a result of which he sustained critical injuries.
Police sources said Krishan Lal (38), son of Daasi Ram of Nai Basti, jumped into Tawi from the bridge at Bikram Chowk in the afternoon. When some vehicle operators saw him jumping, they stopped their vehicles in the middle of the bridge, resulting in traffic
disruption for quite some time.
Police personnel later reached the spot and evacuated the injured to the GMC hospital where his condition was stated to be critical. He had sustained multiple fractures, the sources added. Though police had registered a case in this connection, the cause
behind the provocation was yet to be ascertained.
