| NC leader ‘s death mourned | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU Nov 30: Tributes were paid to Gn. Nabi Lone, Block President, J&K National Conference Block, Mandi, Poonch who passed away today at Govt. Medical College, Jammu due to heart attack.
Lone was old and dedicated worker of remote area of District Poonch who worked with Late Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah and then with Dr Farrooq Abdullah for the upliftment of the rural and far flung areas. In this connection, a condolence meeting was held at Sher-i-Kashmir Bhawan, Jammu under the chairmanship of Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President. Jammu Province today. The speakers expressed their sympathies with the bereaved family and remembered his services for the poor and down trodden people of soul of the leader.
Those who were present on this occasion were Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Provincial Secretary, Luxmi Dutta, Jugal Mahajan, Rampal, Pardeep Bali, Shyam Mehra, Bimla Luthra MLA, T.S.Wazir MLC, Mohinder Gupta, T.S.Tony, Satpal Lakhotra etc.
In the meantime, Ajaz Jan MLA Poonch condoled the death of Lone and expressed his sympathies with the bereaved family.
