`Nowshera villages facing water shortage’

JAMMU Nov 30: Radhay Sham Sharma, MLA and senior leader of National Conference today apprised that there was acute shortage of drinking water in Nowshera Constituency and particularly in villages namely Chowki, Kalsian, Bhawani, Jhanger, Lam Loroka.
These border villages have not received drinking water supplies for the last 20 days. He expressed resentment over the utter failure of the concerned officers/officials of P.H.E Department , Nowshera for their non serious approach towards the poor villagers for not arranging clean drinking water supplies for them.
Sharma urged upon PHE minister Taj Mohi-ud-Din and Chief Engineer, P.H.E Department Daleep Bakshi to personally intervene and issue strict directions to concerned officers/ officials to tackle the problem of acute shortage of drinking water and provide clean drinking water to the general public of Nowshera Constituency on regular basis.
