| Cultural programme organised | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA 30 NOV, A cultural programme was held today in the Chankaya Hall of Vivekananda college of Education. The programme was jointly organized by all the five houses of the college which included Tagore, Ambedkar, Keshav, Shivaji, and Govind Houses.
Dr. Sudarshan Kumar Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion. Other eminent personalities who graced the occasion were principal, Vivekananda college of Education, Dr. Anju Sharma and principal Vivekananda Institute of Education, Training and Research G.D Sharma.
In her welcome address, Dr. Anju Sharma welcomed the chief guest and said that the main motto of the programme was to provide self confidence and self reliance among the pupil teachers which is the main required of the teaching profession. The chief items of the programme were classical dance, Punjabi folk dance Rajasthani, and folk dance was appreciated by the audience. Addressing the audience, Dr S.K Gupta said that main aim of the B.Ed course is all round development of personality of the pupil teachers and in order to develop it, they should be given chance to express their hidden talents.
Certificates and prizes were distributed to the winners of the occasion viz.1st prize Giddha, 2nd prize: Bangra and 3rd prize: classical Dance.
