| JDA team manhandled by alleged land encroachers at Sidhra | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu NOV 30: A JDA team, which had gone to take possession of its 20 kanals of land near Majeen nullah at Sidhra here today, were manhandled by the alleged encroachers.
The land had allegedly been encroached by police Havaldar Ram Singh, police sources said.
Accompanied by police and CRPF personnel, when the JDA men started removing the encroachment, Ram Singh's family members started protesting, amid raising of anti-police and anti-JDA slogans.
They also manhandled the JDA men, the sources added. With the help of police, JDA later removed all the encroachments and took possession of the land.
Police had arrested three persons, including Ram's brother and son, registered a case against them. |
