| People protest over youth's death in road mishap | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 01: People today placed an accident victim's body at two places on the Narwal Bypass road here and held a demonstration, demanding immediate arrest of the accused.
Gurpreet Singh, son of Amarjit Singh of Nawabad Colony, Bhatindi, was killed on being hit by a speeding tipper at Bhatindi Morh last evening.
The angry relatives and locals today placed the body at Bhatindi Morh and Sunjwan Morh, demanding immediate arrest of the tipper driver.
They also blocked the vehicular traffic. The people, however, dispersed peacefully and removed the body for last rites following an assurance by police that the accused would be arrested at the earliest.
