| J&K BSNL employees go on 3-day strike | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU Dec 01: In response to nationwide 3-days strike of executive and non-executive employees of BSNL, the BSNL employees of Jammu and Kashmir have also go on three day strike from today. It is to mention that the strike call was given by the all India JAC of BSNL associations or unions, New Delhi. The employees demanded refunding of Rs 18500 crore of BSNL paid to Govt towards 3G and BWA spectrum charges, 78.2% IDA merger for wage revision w.e.f January 1, 2007, immediate settlement of ITS group A, no disinvestment/IPO of BSNL, no VRS, procurement of adequate mobile equipments, no unbundling of last mile copper cable, implementation of Govt’s commitment on financial viability of BSNL at the time of corporatisation by continuing exemption from license fee and continuation of ADC, USO fund etc, effective and expeditious implementation of programmes and projects like ERP, NGN etc, immediate full proof measures for smooth change over to CDR, Govt department and PSUs should be mandated to take telecom services from BSNL/ MTNL only, revision of pension on IDA along with wage revision, immediate revision of IDA pension of Pre-2007 BSNL retirees.
