| Omar govt a big risk for unity of country: Chaman | | | Early Times Report Jammu , Dec 1 Lambasting the coalition led government in the state, BJP Legislators party, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta today said that Omar Abdullah has come to be a big risk for unity of the country and security of the state but unfortunately Congress led UPA leadership at the centre does not find anything wrong in the utterances and moves of the Chief Minister. This was observed by the leader of the while addressing a gathering at Janipura here today launching the second phase of their agitational programme against the utterances of the chief minister over the issue of accession of the state with Indian Union and opting for a policy for return and rehabilitation of the militants who are there in Pakistan and PoK areas. He said even after having the oath of the Constitution in which Jammu and Kashmir has been clearly mentioned that it is an integral part of India and its future is not negotiable, Omar Abdullah, despite being the Chief Minister was terming the state as disputed and asserting that the accession was conditional. The BJP leader alleged that the President of the National Conference and the Union Minister, Dr Farooq Abdullah was telling the people that separatist cannot get even an inch of land of Jammu and Kashmir, and his the son says something else. It is a strange phenomenon that who should be trusted, he added. He said that Pakistan has no locus standii in Jammu and Kashmir, and its position is only that of an aggressor. As far as the people of the state are concerned, they have repeatedly expressed their lot with India by taking part in over a dozen times in the assembly and Lok Sabha elections. Prof. Gupta regretted that instead of attending to the problems facing the masses of the state and rectifying the policies of regional discrimination against Jammu and Ladakh, the coalition of the Congress-NC is indulging in utterances and moves prejudicial to the security and integrity of the country. The gathering was also addressed by District President Rajesh Gupta and it was also attended by Surinder Sharma, Praduman Singh, Munish Sharma, Arun Khanna, Dinesh Gupta, Balwan Singh, Subash Jandial, Ravinder Gupta, Munish Khajuria, Kuldeep Magotra, Rita Jamwal, Vijay Sharma,Parshotam Dogra, Rakesh Gupta, Kishore Chandan, Bhubnesh Gupta, Balbir Singh, Sanjiv Kumar, Rakesh Sharma, Balbir Gupta, Rajinder Gupta and many others. On the occasion, the effigy of the Chief Minister was also burnt despite resistance by the police.
