Taxi operators, hoteliers call on SSP Traffic | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 1: A deputation of Praytan Vikas Mandal (PVM) and Taxi Operators Union (TOU), Railway Station, Jammu met with Senior Superintendent of Police Traffic Jammu Zahid Manhas in his office chamber. The delegation under the chairmanship of Ravi Mahajan and Presidentship of Davinder Choudhary highlighted their various demands. Davinder Choudhary informed the SSP that the hoteliers, shopkeepers and Taxi Operators of Railway station Jammu as the commercial vehicles/ Taxies were not allowed to enter/ply in the RN Bazar and Residency Road area due to which the Taxi drivers were not able to board and drop the tourists at this very place. The SSP Traffic Jammu heard the grievances and difficulties of the Taxi Operators Union, Railway Station Jammu besides hoteliers and shopkeepers of RN Bazar and Residency Road area patiently. He assured the delegation that the Hoteliers, shopkeepers and the Taxi Operators of Railway Station Jammu will not face such a loss in future and will not suffer in respect of the said problem. He said that this is a genuine problem so in this connection permission would be granted for plying/entry of commercial vehicles/Taxies of Taxi Operators Union in RN Bazaar and Residency Road area.
