Ramban, Dec 2: Shabir Ahmad, Deputy Commissioner, Ramban has convened a meeting of the district/sectoral officers of the departments of police, traffic, PHE, RDD, PDD, Health, CA & PD, & Revenue Department in his office chambers and discussed with them the arrangements for Moharram-ul-Haram beginning from Dec 7.
The concerned departments were asked to make necessary arrangements like that of proper security, proper regulation of traffic during procession of the Moharram, deployment of special magistrate, regular water/power supply, temporary toilet facilities , establishment of medical camp, besides provision of ambulance & a doctor etc. at the Imam Bara Chanderkote.
The CA & PD department was also laid stressed to ensure adequate supply of essential commodities & K. oil during the Moharram days .
Besides this executive officer, M.C, Ramban was asked to make necessary arrangements for cleaning the area of the venue of Moharram, tehsildar Ramban was asked to check the market so as to control the rates of the essential commodities besides checking the adulteration of goods.
The meeting was attended by SP, Ramban Mubassir Latifi, ACR, Ramban, Naseem Javed Chowdhary, CMO, Ramban, and other district officers.
