| Inter-college hockey: Semis line up drawn | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, December 03: Semi-finals line-up has been drawn in the inter-college men’s hockey tournament, organised by Department of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at KK Hakhu Stadium, here today.
Now, in the semi-finals, to be played tomorrow, Government SPMR College shall take on Trikuta Degree College at 10, followed by the second semi-final between Government Degree College Kathua and PG Arts at 12 noon.
Earlier, PG Arts got walkover in the quarterfinals while Degree College Kathua blanked GGM Science College 5-0. Abhinandan Singh made hat trick striking in the 39th, 50th and 55th minute while Ankit Chibber (2nd) and Vikram Singh (38th) were other scorers.
In other quarterfinals, Trikuta Degree College beat MAM College 4-3 in tie-breaker. Earlier, the match ended in 1-1 draw in the stipulated time.
Commerce College reached the semi-finals beating Government Degree College Poonch by three goals to two in a well contested match. Iqbal Singh (6th and 8th) and Harmeet Singh scored for winners Commerce College. From Poonch College, Vishal Sharma and Rohit Sharma netted the ball in 21st and 55th minute respectively.
