Amway renews commitment to help deprived children | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Dec 3: Amway Opportunity Foundation (AOF) a registered non-profit organization and Amway India’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm today reinforced its commitment for the betterment of the deprived children by renewing its association with its Project Sunrise partner – National Federation for the Blinds for the second successive year. Coinciding with the World Disability Day, AOF handed over a cheque for Rs. 72,295 which will fund the annual education of 15 visually challenged children. In addition to this, AOF has also committed to provide NFB with a computer, printer and fax costing at Rs. 35,700. AOF joined hands with NFB last year under Project Sunrise. Project Sunrise is a project which AOF launched to commemorate the 50th year of Amway Corporation, USA. Under the terms of Project Sunrise, AOF envisages partnering with needy orphanages / children’s home for a three year period and take care of children’s education, health and hygiene of the identified children’s home. AOF has identified 64 such partners under this initiative with whom it has partnered with. Another project that AOF runs is Project Sunrise – a project which envisages partnership with needy children’s home / orphanages to support their educational, health & medical requirements. AOF has partnered with 54 such orphanages across the country.
