Jammu,December 3 : Who cares for Chief Minister Omar Abdullah? At least senior officers and their drivers do not care a bit.
On Friday, minutes before the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's cavalcade was about to pass through the Residency road area a red beacon light fitted Scorpio vehicle bearing registration number JKO2AB 4806 of state garages was parked in the middle of the road in front of the Premiere hotel.
Even when the policy gypsy started making announcements asking the owners of the parked vehicles to clear the road for the CM's cavalacade for security reasons the driver of the Scorpio vehicle refused to obey orders.
Even personal intervention by the lone security personal patrolling the stretch directed the driver to clear the road but driver refused to budge.
He repeated his reply that his boss has directed him to wait there and would not move from that place.
"Kyun meri naukari se khel rahe ho jaldi se gadi aagey le jao", police personnel requested him to oblige for few minutes but the driver was in no mood to listen.
Even the prospect of attracting reprimand of the higher authorities failed to deter him. In the end when the CM's cavalcade was about to hit the Residency road, the driver of the vehicle made all possible efforts to keep his vehicle as close to the parking area as possible in order to avoid any collision with the high speed cars.
This isolated incident prove only one thing that even a driver in the state government do not care much about the Chief Minister of the state and are more loyal towards their immediate bosses.
