| Tariq inaugurates JCC bank extension counter at Ghat | | 18000 kissan credit cards issued | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER JAMMU | NOV 4 The chairman, the Jammu Central Cooperative Bank Limited M.S TAriq inaugurated the extension counter of the bank at village Ghat in district Doda today. Speaking on the occasion Tariq disclosed that presently the deposits of the bank as a whole have touched about Rs 585.00 crores with advances about Rs.200 crore as on ending September 2006. He further started that the JCC bank is the leading bank in the cooperative sector which has issued more than 18000 Kissan Credit Cards to the farmers till date. He appealed the masses to bank with the JCC bank in a big way as it is the state partnered bank having a network of its 65 branches throughout Jammu province. He further hailed the decision of th central government for sending Mufti Mohd. Sayeed to the UN to brief the world body about the vexed problems of Kashmir. He further said that it is due to peace initiative initiated by the Mufti normalcy has returned in the state and we as such we are able to expand the banking facilities prone area. S. Rangil Singh senior leader of the party while speaking on the occasion, hailed he peace process initiated by Mufti Mohd. Syed and said that the state is witnessing overall development in all sectors and this all is happening due to the people friendly policies of the present regime. Abdul Qadir Wani, PDP Sr. leader also appreciated the efforts of the bank in opening its extension counter Qadir further assured all type of support to the bank staff in raising its deposits and thanked the management of the bank in acceding the long pending demand of the area. Altaf Hussain Shah and Javed Ahmed Malik who are board of directors of the bank from district Doda welcomed Tariq and extended thanks tot him for opening the banks extension counter at Ghat S.K Mehta, general Manager (Banking) was also present on the occasion.
