| AIIEA employees hold lunch hour demonstration | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 3: The employees of LIC of India and General insurance under the banner of All India Insurance Employees Association (AIIEA) held a lunch hour demonstration in front of their respective offices to protest against the disinvestment policies of UPA Government in sport of demands of BSNL employees who are on three-days strike.
In the press statement, they said that the move of UPA government to disinvest the PSU was nothing but to privatize the profit- making PSUs through disinvestment moves and enable the private companies to manipulate and exploit the insurance market. They exhorted the employees to remain prepared for bigger battles ahead in connection with increase in FDI in Public Sector.
Others who spoke on the occasion were Com Dalip Koul, com Romesh Chand, Com Rajesh Gupta, Com Shiban Bhat, Com Raj Kumar, and Com Vikaram & Com Dinesh Sharma.
