| ST Peters school celebrates Annual Day | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, DECEMBER 03:ST Peters school today celebrated sports day with great zeal and enthusiasm .
Minister for Minister for Medical Education, Youth Service and Sports, R.S. Chib was the chief guest on the occasion.
Describing the 21st century the era of children and youngsters, he said that landmark progress has been registered in educational scenario and more steps need to be taken for enhancing quality of education in the State.
Saying that sports and sportsman spirit is necessary to build a healthy society and nation, the Minister called upon the teachers and parents to inculcate the values of sincerity, dedication, honesty, discipline, communal harmony and truthfulness among the children to equip them to effectively face their future responsibilities of nation building.
He insisted on the parents to facilitate their children to take up sports activities along with academic studies. He also appreciated the staff for providing quality education to students from all walks of life.
Principal, Rev. Fr. Jose Vadkkel on the occasion briefed about the academic and extracurricular activities of the school in a brief resume.
The students of the school presented an excellent and exuberant display of talents in mass PT, Yoga, aerobics, martial art and dance.
Later Chib awarded medals to the meritorious students and released the school magazine 'Peteranjali' an appreciated the management, staff and the budding student.
Among others Chief Education Officer, Mr. Natha Ram Dingra, Principal, Rev. Fr. Jose Vadakkel and other faculty members, large number of parents and students presents on the occasion.
